Abstract:
India is the 2nd largest manufacturer of two wheelers in the world. Two wheelers account to about 76.5% of the entire automobile sector of India and has grown by 4.6% since last year. In today’s world it is very important to keep on improving your old products along with getting new products in the market. SKF is known to the whole world as the global bearings manufacturer. But SKF wants to move out of being just a component manufacturer to sub system provider and also start manufacturing other components along with bearings using its available engineering competencies. The project deals with studying and recommending SKF India about the new products / solutions in two wheeler segment that could be developed and launched in the next 2 – 3 years by using its engineering competencies. For this project I will be using primary data collection methods like interviews with the dealers and service centers of two wheelers.
